Key Information Start Date: September 15th, 2025. Format: Hybrid – self-paced online learning + live instructor-led tutorials. Mentoring Support: Ongoing access to expert mentors. Live Sessions: 6 x 2-hour virtual tutorials (every 4–5 weeks) for deep-dive reinforcement and networking. Delivered by a number of different Leading Edge Group experts. Prerequisites: Lean Green Belt qualified or similar level of practical Lean experience. Hybrid Training Format Through this hybrid model, participants benefit from the flexibility of self-paced learning combined with the structure and engagement of scheduled live support. You’ll complete self-directed modules through our online learning platform, complemented by six pre-scheduled virtual live tutorials held every 4–5 weeks to reinforce key concepts, encourage real-time interaction, and to enable networking with your peers. Lean methodology includes a set of tools, principles, and practices that help healthcare and other organizations improve efficiency, and quality, and reduce waste. This course introduces some key Lean tools and concepts used in day-to-day management of healthcare organizations. It overviews Kaizen, POUS, and spaghetti diagrams, and the everyday use and benefits of these tools in healthcare. The course goes on to discuss perhaps the most important Lean tool – Value Stream Mapping, and how it is performed in healthcare. Next, standard work, 5S, and Visual Management are presented, along with healthcare examples and illustrations.
