Description
This program provides an overview of the core principles of Lean thinking and outlines the essential Lean tools and practices that can be applied across the municipal sector to increase service delivery efficiency and quality; improve customer and employee satisfaction, and reduce waste.
It aims to create not only an understanding of Lean and its benefits, but also a basic proficiency in applying key Lean tools and practices to make small improvements across a variety of municipal settings.
Assessment and Certification:
Participants are required to complete a 60 minute, multiple choice, online examination to achieve a Lean Yellow Belt certificate from Leading Edge Group.
Some course materials may reference Leading Edge Group or display legacy branding, reflecting the history of the program. All North American delivery and learner support are provided by the same team that developed the program and are now operating as Leading Edge Associates.
